We popped on over to the Dallas Observer's Unfair Park today on our daily trek online. On the top right corner an ad was displayed talking about New Jersey? Hmm. We're in Texas, so why New Jersey? The ad is paid for by the Republican Governors Association targeting New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine for raising taxes and still having a $10 billion deficit. It directs you to http://www.jerseypays.com
New Jersey's previous GOP governors in recent times were Thomas Kean and Christie Todd Whitman. Not exactly the conservative wing nuts they would love to have these days. Corzine's current opponent Chris Christie isn't exactly along their lines, and is already accused of some shady shit, using his relationship with his former employer, the US Attorney's office, and is not friends with the unions.
But we are pretty sure nobody in Texas gives a rat's ass about whether or not Jon Corzine is running a state which is quite a bit more liberal and progressive than our own. In case you do, you are now informed about the mud slinging in liberal land that will surely come to haunt us the same way in 2010.
