McCain, Palin, and the attack dogs in the right wing media have been focusing on ACORN as the newest distraction. Rather than talk about issues like healthcare, or God forbid the economy, they are going after a minority rights group. And why not? Obama is a minority. But you can't talk bad about the black man directly, so go after an advocacy group instead!
ACORN is none of the things you are hearing about on TV. ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) is a major advocate for minorities in helping them with voter registration, housing issues, and job issues. You know, those things that Republicans don't want to be reformed! It's the GOP m.o. to talk smack about community organizers, starting with Obama and working their way down.
