Kim Brimer In A Union? Lipstick On A Pig

TX State Senator Kim Brimer was spotted last evening in a union meeting near Fort Worth. Among his talking points, were attacks on Wendy Davis for supporting foreign owned toll roads, and for being against the working man. Note that the union declined to endorse either candidate for SD-10, however we kind of doubt Wendy Davis is anti-working class. Brimer went on to note how his family were union members and that he had passed a law helping workers.
Once Brimer got done suggesting Hurricane Ike victims needed to hurry up and find new homes, another good question was asked of the Senator. Would displaced voters get access to the polls? Brimer stated they would, citing state law. We aren't sure what law that is, other than the one that allows for absentee voting. When asked again if absentee ballot applications, or temporary poll locations would be set up, Brimer answered that "luckily we have 49 days to figure it out", along with a slight chuckle.
The Senator spent a lot of time citing his low pay of $7200 per year for not having many real answers. We guess he forgot the $151 per day paid to him during the Session. Maybe that is what we should expect from tenured GOP elected officials by now? We're sure he forgot he used campaign money to purchase condos too. We think it is time for some change in Tarrant County. Don't you?
