Do Cornyn & Hutchison Want More HIV?

The vote on the newest HIV/AIDS bill in the Senate was no doubt set late this week so it would fly under the radar, unless you are on the various LGBT email lists. It passed overwhelmingly, but we are still hurt. There are 16 Republican US Senators who still see fit to vote against helping to end a global pandemic. Obama and McCain not present to vote. The following were voting NAY:

Jeff Sessions (R-AL)
Jon Kyl (R-AZ)
Wayne Allard (R-CO)
Larry Craig (R-ID)
Michael Crapo (R-ID)
Jim Bunning (R-KY)
David Vitter (R-LA)
Roger Wicker (R-MS)
John Ensign (R-NV)
Judd Gregg (R-NH)
James Inhofe (R-OK)
Jim DeMint (R-SC)
Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
John Cornyn (R-TX)
Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX)
John Barrasso (R-WY)

What's wrong with this clique? Do they want more people to die, when we could fund prevention efforts? Hell, even Elizabeth Dole voted for this bill, and she had attempted to have it named after Jesse Helms! Why do our Texas Senators and Representatives consistently vote against the public interest? It can't honestly be because of cost, since this is to cost each American a whopping $6 in 2009.

Just remember, as many of you are at Netroots Nation this weekend and looking in on our Texas blogs...remember why it is important that we rid the Senate of people like John Cornyn and put real progressives into office like Rick Noriega. Donate to Rick and other DFW Democrats today, so we can work towards ending HIV in this country and the rest of the world.

Probably because the Democrats wouldn't allow any oversight to where these millions of dollars are going overseas.

I want to know where my tax dollars specifically going. Don't you?

Ok clark, let's start with the tax dollars spent on Iraq. Where are they going?

I thought we were talking about how why (D-NV) Reid wouldn't allow an oversight committee to where all of the AID's assistance is going with our tax money.

Which iraq funding bill are you referring to? Let me know and I will get you that information.

P.S. sorry that im just stating the facts here buddy. To bad you can't even post why Cornyn voted against it, then rather post a communist short-sided view on the net.

Notice to the public: This is why you should consider the source before reading.
