Governor 39% has chosen cronyism over common sense once again, appointing former aide Deidre Delisi as the new chair of the TX Transportation Commission.
Delisi's experience only seems to have been garnered through campaigns in the past. She has been on the Transportation Commission since being appointed to it by Rick Perry in June 2007. But it makes one wonder, what sense this new appointment makes.
What experience does Delisi have in knowing the transportation needs of a 21st century Texas? We hope she has some, but we have not been made aware of any. Unfortunately, we forsee direct transportation policy coming from Governor 39% and being filtered to Delisi. That does not bode well for our future.
