We got word several different attack ads sent out by the Clinton campaign against Obama have hit local mailboxes this weekend.
Two ads were received by a local voter. One stated that Obama's health care plans "wastes billions". We were not aware that universal health care was a waste of money. Interesting, Hillary. The other ad stated that "it is my firm belief that if a woman who is as intelligent, competent, and well connected as Senator Hillary Clinton cannot succeed in a campaign for the Presidency, it will be at least another generation before any woman would be in a position to even try to dream of attempting such a thing". So this message we assumes means you best vote for Hillary now, or else all you other little girls can just go back to knitting sweaters because you're not nearly as ambitious as a Clinton is.
Then there is the ad we got in our own mail box. It attacks Obama for voting against an amendment to a bill. Yes, we're digging deep here folks! The amendment would have capped credit card interest rates at 30%. Obama voted no. Clinton voted yes. Fair enough. You can view the fact by looking up S.Amdt.31 to S.256 Vote #20 on 3/3/05. But it attacks him for trying to hurt working families. That is a bit of a stretch. The reason we say this is because of the final vote in the Senate. In case you don't recall S.256, it is referred to as the Bankruptcy Reform Act. This act made it harder for working people to file bankruptcy. Guess who voted which way on the final passage? Obama- NO. Clinton- Did Not Vote!
So who is it that wants to help people? We stick with the guy who actually showed up and voted against it!
