The General Accountability Office, according to the Journal of Commerce, is warning us there is no "free money" in public-private partnership (3Ps) deals. What? No way!
The report mentioned the benefits of 3Ps, but at the same time warned they could be overshadowed by if a private toll road operator uses its market power to charge excessive tolls. What? No way, again!
While the Bush DOT continues to push for 3Ps, the report says little consideration has been given to public-interest concerns. What? No way, 3 times over!
It's pretty sad when even the government admits the government is out to screw us. Pay attention, TxDOT and TTC lovers.
