Kirk Or Katy? Oh My!

The Texas Cloverleaf has confirmed, through confirmations by Lone Star Project, and further confirmations of BOR, and originally confirmed by the DMN and so forth and so on, that we have confirmed the following:

Kirk England, TX State House representative for HD 106, is going to seek re-election as a Democrat. Take that GOP!

Well, we're not so sure it hurts the Republicans. They do lose a sitting representative, however he has only been sitting there since 2006. And now England's decision brings about a possible Democratic primary fight with 2006 Democratic nominee Katy Hubener. If the K kids battle it out again, there are a few outcomes: England and Hubener blow all of their money on each other and have a rough going of it in November. Hubener actually beats England, removing the guarantee that we have a Democrat in that seat, and thus we have to hope she could win again in November after the knock down drag out with England (which would be the 3rd face off between them). So these scenarios could very well benefit the Republican choice, or it drives up the Democratic vote and the GOP nominee will not stand a chance. Flip a coin here folks.

Here at the TC we support Rep. England's decision, since he isn't a bad guy. And we are very lucky we do not have to decide on who to vote for in that district. Good luck to both candidates if they decide to face off.
